Does it matter how high I install the detector?

For carbon monoxide, installation height doesn’t matter because CO mixes evenly with air.
However, if you’re using it to detect natural gas (which is primarily a fire and explosion hazard, not the same silent sleeping danger as CO), it’s best to install it as high as possible.
How long does the sensor last?
